West Lancashire Hit By New Coronavirus Infections

The Ormskirk & Southport NHS Trust Hospitals have advised us 16 new people had a confirmed positive coronavirus test result reported on 9th June 2021.

Between 3rd June 2021 and 9th June 2021, 71 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows an increase of 255.0% compared to the previous 7 days.

74,045 people had been given a first vaccine dose by the end of 8th June 2021 and 57,710 people had been given a second vaccine dose by the end of 8th June 2021. There have been 9,070 infections, that’s 7,934.8 per 100,000 of our population.

Under-30s have undergone 5,892 first doses (14.4%) and 2,948 second doses (7.2%).

There were 0 deaths within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported on 9th June 2021.

Between 3rd June 2021 and 9th June 2021, there have been 0 deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test. This shows no change compared to the previous 7 days.

Public Health England reports Lancashire has recorded 615 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the highest daily total recorded since the second wave earlier this year.
