Where’s Wally?

We bring you the latest claim from Wally Westley about flood relief. He’s been spotted in Banks. His plan involves the establishment of an Internal Drainage Board and changes to the use of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) which developers pay on new housing.

It’s basically more talking and proposals backed up with empty words and a plan that holds as much water as a colander.

The last time any costings for an Internal Drainage Board were carried out there was going to be a cost of c.£900,000 to Borough Council taxpayers which would add more than 10% on the Borough’s element of council tax.
