Yet More Coronavirus Infections In West Lancashire

West Lancashire has recorded 34 new coronavirus infections today, bringing the cumulative total to 4,814, that’s now 4,211.5 infections per 100,000 of the population.

Our Ormskirk & Southport NHS Trust hospitals have recorded no new fatalities after seeing deaths increase by seven on Wednesday. We have lost 256 of our community to cornavirus.

Areas of our community with high rates of infection now, in the seven days up to December 4th,
include Croston & Mawdesley – 38 cases, rolling rate of 470.8.

The lowest rates include Burscough –
4 cases, rolling rate of 43, Skelmersdale East – 3 cases – rolling rate of 45.2, Aughton – 4 cases, rolling rate of 49.9, Rufford & Banks – 4 cases, rolling rate of 52.7, Skelmersdale South East – 5 cases, rolling rate of 69.0, Hesketh Bank & Tarleton – 6 cases, rolling rate of 69.2, Ormskirk Town & East – 9 cases, rolling rate of 96.9.
