Don’t get too excited by the picture above, that’s a proper, real, well maintained course, obviously not a Serco course like this one below, Beacon Park Golf Course.
Golfers in England “will be allowed to play in groups of three or four from June 1, following the UK government’s latest easing of the Covid-19 restrictions”.
With social gatherings of up to six people from two different families now allowed in outdoor spaces, golf’s governing bodies have said that golf clubs can start to taking bookings for three- and four-balls from four separate households providing social distancing are adhered to at all times.
A short statement issued by England Golf said “We are today pleased to confirm that three-ball and four-ball play can re-commence from Monday 1 June. It remains our recommendation for a minimum 10-minute interval between tee times. Clubs may choose to run competitions provided social distancing and safety regulations can be strictly observed at all times. While Covid-19 remains a live threat in our communities, we would ask everyone involved in the game to act responsibly, show respect and protect the wellbeing of golfers, staff and volunteers”.
Perhaps we might be reporting soon that the Beacon Park Members Club can achieve block bookings, following the recent Serco refusal?
