Sadly, one more death was confirmed yesterday at Southport and Ormskirk NHS Trust which has now recorded 124 deaths.
Regional politicians have called on the Government to publish the reproduction rate, or R number, at regional and sub-regional levels. By agreeing to this move, we could at least work to help our residents mitigate the risks they might face. It would also reduce the risks of regional or local lockdowns, which they continue to oppose.
Common sense should tell the government that more local data is essential for we locals to help fight this appalling virus?
