All areas of Lancashire saw at least one new case of death from coronavirus today, with two at Southport & Ormskirk. Boris Johnson made his expected report.
The leaders of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland said they had not been consulted over the new “stay alert, control the virus and save lives” slogan. Why should they? They are devolved governments, just generously funded by Westminster. Staying home will still happen in England, as Downing Street sought to explain the “control the virus” aspect, saying the public could do that by keeping the rate of infection down by “staying alert and following the rules”.
