In two months the WLBC local elections will he held
Help in the community is a sure way to gain support. Politics stinks right now and people want help with practical stuff like flood prevention. What they don’t want is party politics and a county that leaves West Lancashire with potholes everywhere, increased council tax, and whopping big allowances for the likes of five hatter Cllr O’Toole.
Another ploy is to criticise the opposition, so expect the crap to fly for the next eight weeks or so.
The OWLs have been successful in the community, as they report here
“Motorbikes and cars crossing a childrens play area and park in Pine Grove were top of some residents concerns when they contacted OWL Scott Ward team, Blair Piggin and Cllr Jane Thompson, to ask for assistance.
“As part of the planning permission for a new housing estate, the park was included that will eventually form part of a path from Ormskirk to Burscough. Unfortunately, the width of the path meant cars and bikes were able to get through.
“As you can see from the pictures, we were able to get in touch with WLBC and, aided by helpful officers, were able to ensure that the chicane was promptly installed. Well done, team! Get in touch if there is a problem your OWL councillor or candidate can help with”.
