Extracts from the July 2019 Minutes

11154 CHAIRMAN/VICE-CHAIRMAN/PARISH CLERK’S JULY MEETING WITH THE LOCAL POLICE – a brief report was given on the informal meeting held 3 July 2019. There had been 21 reported crimes since the last meeting including: 8 domestic incidents including 3 malicious communications, 4 criminal damage excluding vehicles (Liverpool Road, Whalley Drive (2), Town Green Lane), 2 vehicle crime (Liverpool Road, Long Lane), 2 burglary (Crescent Green, Long Lane), 1 theft of a vehicle (Town Green Lane), 1 public order offence (outside the Stanley Arms), 2 assault (Noel Gate, outside a Restaurant), 1 suspicious circumstance (Ledson Grove). In Aughton, other than reported crimes, there had been 83 incidents.

11155 PARISH FINANCE: a) Minutes of Extraordinary Meeting of the Parish Council to consider and approve the Accounts for the year ending 31 March 2019, copies circulated prior to meeting, were APPROVED as a correct record and signed by the Chairman of the Meeting, Councillor Graham Jones. Members present having all been granted Dispensations in respect of any matters relating to ‘discussing/debating the Budget and Setting the Parish Council Precept’. b) Aughton Sports Association – to receive Income from Sport in the sum of £2,026.60 (as per Analysis of Accounts 2018/2019 Sheet 5). c) Solar Powered Speed Awareness Signs Project (Bold Lane (1),

Prescot Road (1), Long Lane (2)): i) to receive and approve the recommendations of the Working Group in full consultation with Lancashire County Council Highways – details were confirmed and APPROVED. ii) it was RESOLVED to approve a prepayment to Unipart Dorman to purchase and commission 4 Speed Awareness Signs

in the sum of £13,612 (plus VAT) = £16,334.40. (Funded by: WLBC Capital Partnership Scheme (Bold Lane & Prescot Road) and CIL Funding (Long Lane).

Latest APC Accounts show cash/short term investments £121,378, total assets etc £325,559, CIL unused £33,384.73p.
