Happy In Burscough?

OWLs are “Happy in Burscough”

As they report “Great news for Burscough as the speculative application from Jones Homes to build 38 houses on Red Cat Lane has been withdrawn by the Developer.

“Jones Homes only brought forward this application and caused such concern to local residents because Labour’s ill-conceived local plan proposals gave them (or so they thought) a green light.

“With Labour’s local plan proposals back to the drawing board, the existing local plan (from 2012) did its job of defending areas like this (as it has in the past). The planning committee report produced last week which quoted heavily from the 2012 local plan caused this developer to head for the hills”.

  1. …for now. Hope Burscough doesn’t rest on its laurels. Local Labour- even worse than the Tories.

    • Can’t imagine Burscough ever resting on its laurels, having supported them since 2011, and who can ever forget the Parish Referendum…amazing work by the action group.
