The Changing Council

There will be new faces on the WLBC council

after the May elections. One will be in Ashurst in Skelmersdale as Cllr Liz Savage has announced her departure in order to concentrate on a bid to become the MP for Southport. She will need to close a gap of 2,914 votes, which is marginal. In 2017 she received support that placed her second.

How many more new faces at WLBC will there be, as rumours grow of more departures?

  1. Lots of departures coming.

    • It seems so. We know Cllr Bullock was de-selected by Labour. How many more? How many ineffective Tory seat-warmers will go?
