Rebels: 15 Labour MPs – Sir Kevin Barron, Ronnie Campbell, Rosie Cooper , Frank Field, Jim Fitzpatrick, Caroline Flint, Mike Hill, Kate Hoey, Kevan Jones, John Mann, Dennis Skinner, Laura Smith, Gareth Snell, John Spellar and Graham Stringer – defied the whip to abstain and instead voted with the Government.

Responses

  1. Fair play to Rosie Cooper on this one. The EEA is a very poor option and doesn’t end freedom of movement. Mr Corbyn’s been listening to Keir Starmer too much.

The EU are behaving like idiots at the moment. We should be ready to simply allow free moving tariff free trade on March 30th and watch them do diddly squat – oh, and we save £39 billion for the health service and other public services in the process.

    • Totally agree. West Lancashire voted out, as did the country. On hearing a remain Tory MP say “suck it up” to leavers yesterday my resolve to leave is even stronger than it was previously. Paying for the German economy to flourish as it does is not what the UK should be paying for.
