Halsall Parish Council Changes

The Halsall Parish Council meeting on Wednesday evening was emotional as its Chairman and Vice-Chairman stepped down from office and both, Brian Young and Dave Corfield, were praised for their selfless service not just to the Council but to the whole community. They would be models for incoming Chairman Patrick Bell and Vice-Chairman Neil Campbell to follow .

Borough Cllr Maureen Mills recalled how Brian Young had given 6 years of leadership and total commitment to Halsall and it was a sad occasion as he took retirement. Challenges including local flooding and poor public transport were being met with some success and fracking was now another issue to face.

After the formal business it was announced that United Utilities was holding a public meeting in the village at 6pm on 23 May 2018, more details to follow.
