Jacks Of All Trades

Among the quirks of the upcoming local elections for  you will find examples of some people who are jacks of all trades and masters of none. First jack is the two-hatter Moon, who continually finds the time not only to rake in two full time allowances for two part time seats but is now the election agent for Iain Ashcroft at Hesketh-with-Becconsall.

Next jack and master of none up is D Westley, Tory group leader and association chairman, and now election agent for 17 candidates including one Ms Westley for Moorside, surely a paper candidate among others? The Westleys aiming for a triple, perish the thought?

So are the Hodsons, with Tarleton the target for young Freddie Hodson. Labour Cllr David McKay seems to be leaving Skelmersdale South, for new candidate Vickie Cummins versus paper candidate Valerie Marsh. Aughton & Downholland has a new Labour face of Stephen Kirrelly against O’Toole, while over at Derby the OWLs face ex Knowsley Gareth Dowling. Aughton Park is stuck with Stephenson unless Bernie Green plays the Parrs Lane Labour planning appeal victory for all it’s worth.

All to play for then, watch the potholes fill up while prayers are made for the tarmac to stay there for a few more weeks, watch the claims being made for the “vibrant” but grubby Ormskirk to be cleaned. It’s all so predictable!
