The First County Owl?

What damage might the OWLs inflict on the well established local parties now in full LCC election mode? Ian Davis is standing in West Lancashire East. His message includes a request for improved community transport, an issue ever since the borough inflicted social exclusion on elderly and disabled residents by the removal of the travel concession and the freedom it once gave, at a small price, for basic and essential services. That, believe it or not, was an essential front line service, one that “Westleconomics” in its day ignored. Here is the public “Talking Point” election special leaflet for Ian Davis   [click both to read]

  1. Tall order in a county seat, but OWL are a breath of fresh air. Hope they get strong support on Thursday.

    • A very tall order, but surely the electorate need to see some candidates free and independent of party whipping with a chance of election?
