Dear Clive, Bugger Off!

You may recall Lancashire’s Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire saying the government had given the go-ahead for fracking in the county and so it should pay to police the protests. His application has received short shrift as you can read here . [click to read] So who should pay? Ask Cuadrilla, whose whole reason for being there and doing what it does is for profit. Why should we, already paying for local police services but receiving very little for our money, in effect pay for the security of an industry that is being opposed every inch of every drill it puts into our precious agricultural land?
