Treasury Minister Visits Ormskirk

The West Lancashire Conservatives report that the Tory Treasury Minister David Gauke MP  made a low key visit to Lancashire to see how business is booming across the region under a Labour run county. He visited Ormskirk Market and Thomas Guy Haulage in Burscough with two hatter Conservative County Councillor David Wally Westley and wanabe two hatter Councillor Eddie Pope, the candidate for Burscough & Rufford.

After the visit, Mr Gauke made the usual ritual statement that he “was delighted to visit Thomas Guy Haulage in Burscough and Ormskirk Market, which is made up of fantastic small independents, such as the family run Wilkinson’s butchers. Both are a sign that across Lancashire, small businesses and firms are benefitting from the strong economic growth that we’re seeing”. He didn’t explain how austerity means the LCC will be unable to meet its statutory commitments within two years.
