Our NHS And The Voice Of The People

Our West Lancashire owllogo is raising concerns about our NHS. Its members ask for more public involvement. “With delivery of urgent care and community health changing and as questions are raised over the future of our local A&E service, we seek your views on what’s important to you in our local NHS. Local NHS is not asking residents’ opinion, so we will.

“This week, it’s been announced that Virgin Care will run both urgent care and community health services across West Lancashire from April. Last week, plans produced with little input from frontline NHS staff and none from the public launched a review of services at our District General Hospitals in Ormskirk and Southport. The idea of reduced opening hours at Southport’s Accident and Emergency Department has been mentioned in some quarters. nhspic

“These processes have gone on without asking us, the local public, for any input up to now. A consultation is promised for 2017. In readiness for that consultation and to provide quality information on local opinion to the decision makers, we have launched our own survey. Please spare 5 minutes to give your views on what you value about our health services in West Lancashire and forward this newsletter to friends so they can join in. All individual responses are confidential”.

Go to the OWL website and “Take The NHS Survey”.
