Always Get The Vote Out

In the Halsall ward, where the incumbent councillor Stephenson was assisted by her party leader, the turnout for the 2012 election was only 37.49%, 633 votes. Yesterday, in what was a fight to rid Halsall of a councillor whose record in office included the abysmal and hated Tory policy to create social exclusion for local villagers by removing the travel concession and replacing it with the “no buses bus pass”, the turnout increased to 42.3%, 725 votes. Getting the vote out makes a difference between continuing a career as a councillor or flogging Avon products mayorharmony.
