Is Being called Poncey By Cameron A Badge Of Honour?

Mr Ben Bradshaw (Exeter) (Lab) Q11 “With the United Kingdom facing its most momentous decision for a generation in eight weeks’ time, does the Prime Minister think it makes more sense to listen to all our closest friends and allies around the world, or to a combination of French fascists, Nigel Farage and Vladimir Putin?”

The Prime Minister “I am glad the right hon. Gentleman takes the English pronunciation of Farage, rather than the poncey, foreign-sounding one that he seems to prefer—a thoroughly good thing. I think we should listen to our friends and our allies. Looking around the world, it is hard to find the leader of a country who wishes us well who wants us to do other than stay inside a reformed European Union”.

Perhaps we might be told how many votes leaders of countries around the world will have in the referendum? As for being “Poncey”, meaning ”pretentious or affected”…pretentious, meaning “attempting to impress by affecting greater importance or merit than is actually possessed”. Sounds just like some leaders of political parties we know westleypumps?
